I’ve been meaning to post this. But on Monday I hit my one year of being in Korea. I resigned with my school so I will be staying for an other year. Its been a fast year. I still remember my 1st day and how scared and overwhelmed I was. Anyway here is the video Dan and I made on our first night here. Still makes me laugh.

Korean Festival: Spring 2012
We headed to the Gangneung to check out Gyungpo beach and some cherry blossoms. We came across a festival and had a great day. Check it out.
Here are a few pictures I took this past weekend. I went to Gyongpodae Cherry Blossom Festival in Gangneug. We took a walk to the beach, saw beautiful cherry blossoms and got some sun. It was a great weekend.
This video is so embarrassing I obviously can not be “natural” while on camera, and I forget what I’m going to say.
Anyway Yesterday was payday so we got some cash, went out for dinner and bought Settles of Catan.

Eating beondegi in Korea
Trying some silkworm larva babies at a food stand. Not as climactic as I had hoped but still glad I tried them once. Oh and I’m sure my pronunciation of beondegi is way off, my bad.

Dancing in Korea 없어
We lined up outside of what we thought was a dance club. It turned out to be a restaurant but Dan couldn’t help but dance.
We have been in Korea for about 2 weeks and we are loving every minute of it, especially the food and the people. This weekend we are at a galbi restaurant which allows you to cook up all kinds of tasty meats right at your table. Our co-worker, Richard and us end up gaining a little courage and invite some Koreans to take soju shots with them. We also added some sound effects and stupid comments for your enjoyment.
Oh, here is the link to Durkee’s shots with Koreans vid:

First Night in Korea
We were hungry and went to a restaurant in downtown Bucheon, South Korea. We only know a few Korean words, luckily the waiter knew more English. We still managed to screw up our own order.
Take a tour of the Rouge brewery in Newport Oregon with us! The beer is super tasty but also super expensive, usually about $9 or $10 a six pack as apposed to other microbrews which sell for $6-7. Still, this place is really fun to visit.
In-n-Out Redding, California.
This is the last In-n-Out heading North on I-5. This will be our last In-n-Out burger till who knows when. It was well worth it.
